Are you a frugalite? Are you conscious of bargains and sales? Do you know how to maneuver through retail prices to attain the lowest price possible? If you answered no to any of these questions, then here’s the guide for you.
Bargain shopping should be a tool in everyone’s arsenal. Unfortunately, few people have this skill. There’s almost a euphoria you get when you come out of a store having paid a minimal price.
Here are some tips to become a successful bargain shopper:
Always check advertisements for sales. Check newspapers (especially the Sun. paper) and browse the Internet for deals. If the store price and the advertisement price are different and you have the paper with you, they have to give you the price listed in the paper.
Frequently go to outlet stores. They have designer clothes for a marked down price. Most designer clothes are in there because major retailers over order on a product. Ask employees of your favorite outlet stores when new shipments come in--you can get some of the best deals.
Purchase off-season items. Buy things for the next season at low prices. Buy swimsuits and barbeque grills in the wintertime; buy thick coats and snowmobiles in the summer. Most importantly, buy holiday gifts ahead of time to beat the rush.
Use coupons. It seems like a no-brainer, but it can be make or break a shopping budget. This helps a lot and is more effective if you actually organize the coupons by store or category.
Browse the Internet. The glorious Internet has so many places to look for deals and bargains. You just have to find the right nooks and crannies to look under.
Compare prices. This is easily one of the most overlooked steps in bargain hunting history. Look the multiple store lists for the item you want and go for the best option. There are even websites that specialize in just that.
Here are two websites to help you kick off your new shopping technique:
