She is the youngest of five, and the last Mariani to enter Notre Dame Academy.

She was born and raised in the state of Pennsylvania, and at the age of 8 she moved to Wisconsin due to her father’s job relocation.

“It was hard to move away from my family and friends and school, but I was pretty young and I thought it would be a fun adventure,” said Mariani.

She went to St. John the Baptist school in Howard along with the rest of her three older brothers and one older sister. This was the beginning of their school careers in Wisconsin.

Each Mariani sibling is about one year apart from the other, so they are all in school together, around the same time.

“I wasn’t really nervous because I had all my other siblings there with me,” Mariani explained. “I made a lot of new friends, and I really liked it at SJB [St. John the Baptist].”

Slowly and one by one, each sibling left St. John the Baptist to start high school at Notre Dame Academy and Olivia watched as they all moved on and experienced a different school atmosphere, until she was the only one left in middle school.

“When we moved to Wisconsin, we all took the adventure together, but then they all started new adventures of high school without me, so that was just kind of hard,” Mariani said.

But soon enough it was Olivia’s turn to enter in to high school, but she felt like she did not have to go into it alone.

“I was already a little familiar with the school because of my sister and brothers who had been through it before me, so they can tell me what I need to know,” Mariani said.

Unlike a lot of people, Olivia gets to go to school with her siblings, talk about teachers or a mandatory test that they have all been through.

She is thankful to know what it is like to have had siblings that have already gone through it all.

“I am pretty happy that we are all close in age because I feel like we all have a lot more in common,” Mariani said.

“We are so proud of our children. I thank God every day for them,” father and nationally syndicated radio talk show host, Drew Mariani said.

She has a leg up knowing all the mistakes the older siblings have been through. She has learned the painful lessons of not handing in homework, forgetting to keep an extra pair of clothes in your locker or money in your back pack, just to name a few.

They all look out for one another because family comes first in their lives and they want to have one another’s back.

“We are here for each other. I especially am protective of my little sisters,” senior Luke Mariani said. “I love them, I want them to succeed, and I know I will do anything for them.”

Olivia feels as though she has molded well into Notre Dame and is excited to continue her high school career here for the next three years.

She is involved in softball at Notre Dame, APPP, and is making a lot of new friends.

“Notre Dame is cool. I like the people and everything it offers, but I am glad freshman year is done. I am ready to move on to being a sophomore next year,” Mariani said.
