Welcome to the Hawks Nest!

But what we DO have are giant swarms of mosquitoes attacking whenever we step out our back door.
Not only are mosquitoes out numbering the good folk of Harford County, but our good old friends, the stink bugs, are back in town. That is right. They are back clinging to the walls of our living rooms, and perching on the sides of our houses. They are climbing in your windows, so hide your kids and hide your wife.
Why can we not be outnumbered by lady bugs? Or fuzzy caterpillars instead of Jurassic-like bugs that send out a vomitus stench, or flying blood suckers that land on your peanut butter toast as soon as you walk out of your front door.
Bees, mosquitoes, and gnats must have some deep seated hate for us. Sorry I stepped on your buddy’s ant hill the other week, but there is no need to dive bomb me when I’m walking home from the bus stop.
We have to hand it to these flying creatures, they will give you a serious arm workout. You try running around with your arms flinging around in the air for about ten minutes. Yeah, you might get stung or bitten a few times but you will be one step closer to your beach body.
Next time it’s winter and you are freezing cold, just be glad there are no blood sucking creatures, or black and yellow striped stingers, or just stinky stalkers, because that is as close to prancing around a field with butterflies as we are going to get.We have all seen those music videos where a girl in a long dress is twirling around in some sort of wheat field with big and colorful butterflies encircling her. Let’s be real here; I do not know about you, but I have not seen any giant butterfly colonies fluttering around us while we prance through fields.
