Visitors to the 42nd Annual Art Show were treated to a wide variety of artistic forms at the showcase which took place on May 17 -18.
Students from the craft classes, the 3-D design class, the advanced painting and drawing class, the advanced studio drawing class, and the drawing and painting class, the fine art preparation class, the art appreciation and production class, and the photo club each had pieces featured during the show whose theme was “In the Eyes of The Beholder,”according to Ms. Susan Groseclose.
A highlight to this art was the presence of many bunyips.  A bunyip is the Australian version of the Lockness monster.  Legend has it that the bunyip has never been seen the same way twice, according to Mrs. Brooke Sealover, the art teacher who introduced the concept to NH.
Every student was required to have at least one piece on display at the event.
Many of the art students love taking part in the festivities of the entire show.
“I think setting it up is the best. It’s super fun, I get to interact with other art students, and have fun tearing the library up with my friends!” stated senior Jessica Harris.
Another outstanding piece of art that received a lot of attention was the piece done by former NH student David Hubbard, junior Alex Cox, and senior Colton Wilmouth.  Hubbard began the cutglass project that featured the logo NRAs (Natural Resources Argricultural Sciences) and he completed nearly one third of the project last year. Wilmouth and Cox finished the project this year and Mrs. Schlehr finished the grouting with Wilmouth, according to Schlehr.
Many teachers attended the show, including English teacher Mr. Chris Malone, who said the work  was “absolutely beautiful” and “there were so many mediums to enjoy.”
Journalism teacher Mrs. Jennifer Chandler agrees.
“I was astounded by the talent and I am so proud for the teachers who inspire such creativity,” said Chandler
