Are there not enough lockers in this school? Does not everyone get a locker at the beginning of the school year? Are there reasons that people have to share one?

Every time I have to go to my locker, this develops into a difficult mission.

It starts when you get closer to your locker. You can see this huge group of people that blocks the way.  You are tired. You just want to get your books and leave again. Being surprised and annoyed by all these people, you at least expect them to politely move away from your locker. “Excuse me, can I go to my locker?” No reaction. After a couple of more tries and still getting ignored, there is no other options left other than using your elbows and arms to get to your locker. Is fighting for the right to get to your own locker really necessary?

For some reason people think it is necessary to share their locker with their friends. It is not like you cannot see them after school. No, it is important to share the 5 minutes of the break you have with them, and so make it impossible for the people around you to get to their locker and to their classrooms on time. Worse is this, if there are not just 2 people but 3, 4 or 5 in the locker next to you. They don’t just get their stuff. No, they stand there forever, talk, and do not care about other people. Get your own locker!

There are different types of people who share their lockers. One type is the couple that is in love. This type stands around the whole break, kissing, or fighting, or whatever. The only thing they do not do is actually using their locker. Then there are the best friends that discuss all their unimportant problems that no one actually care about so loud that everyone, whether they want to or not, has to listen. The last and the worst versions are the locker sharers that combine all of these different types of people.

So dear locker sharer, people do not want to climb over your bags and purses. They do not want turn their walk to their locker into a mission impossible every single period. They do not want to get close to you so they have to smell your personal unique body odor while they are trying to reach their locker. They do not want to interrupt you in things we do not want to see you doing in school.  Your behavior is rude and immature. It does not hurt you to use your own locker, so please, get your own!
