Shirock is a 5 piece pop/rock band from Nashville Tennessee that capitalizes on the transformative power of rock and roll.

     This band consists of Chris Shirock, Pap Shirock, Adam Gatchel, Kevin Whitsett, and Evan Weatherford.
     They have released an album called ‘Everything Burns’. This album contains the kind of songs that would make someone want to skip them on their ipod. They are boring and all seem to sound the same. First hearing the music they sounded like the band Rooney, the only difference was that Rooney is actually good.
     Chuck Shirock said that, “It’s taken quite a journey,” to produce their album, but hearing it, it seems like they might need to continue their journey.
     The instrumental parts of the music are comparable to songs from the Jonas Brothers. All the songs sounded like something that had already been produced a thousand times. They lyrics are easy to memorize because they are so repetitive. It seems like the band members who write the songs have a lot to complain and whine about, and the lead singer sounds like he is trying to have a unique voice, but does not.

     Shirock’s music is available at Hollister Co, Chuck Shirock said, “It has helped us, on grassroots level; put our music in the hands of those young people.” These songs seemed not relatable for young people; they seemed relatable for no one.
