Last time, we introduced the world of publishing. Yet, even with that information, publishing companies are hard to find, and sometimes difficult to contact, soit seems kind of wasted. Unfortunately, there are no publishing companies in Ross, and there are just a few of outstanding record within fifty miles of Ross. The good news, however, is that most publishing companies will accept manuscripts by e-mail, and others will accept them by post. Included here are a few of the most noted publishing companies that offer services by mail and internet, and some that are a little closer to Ross.
Tor Publishing: Tor Publishing is a very teen-friendly publishing company. They do not require you to have an agent, and they will read your manuscript for free. They make a guarantee to read everything they receive, even if it takes a few months. To contact Tor Publishing or ask questions, go to http://us.macmillan.com/TorForge.aspx and to the FAQ section.
Publish America:Publish America is also a teen-friendly publishing company. They do not require an agent, and won’t charge. They are more internet-based, so they will take e-mails and promise to reply within two weeks. For their e-mail and mailing address, you can go to http://www.publishamerica.com and find it there. You can also ask any questions not answered there.
Random House: Random House is a somewhat less teen-friendly publisher, and they will only accept manuscripts submitted by an agent. They do include a website where you can get an agent. On a side note, if you think that you can’t afford an agent, a legit one will not charge an upfront fee.Their pay comes from the book sales. Contact them at http://www.randomhouse.com/
C J Krehbiel CO C J Krehbiel is a publishing company in Cincinnati, but they do not disclose what their services cost on their web page, or what you have to do to receive such services. They do, however, include a quote request, where you can ask how much what you want to get published will cost. They also do not say if they require an agent or not.
