Dolores Huerta, who helped give farm workers rights with Cesar Chavez, will speak to Fremont students during second period on Wednesday.

Huerta and Chavez united farm workers who had been struggling for years. They had worked without breaks or clean bathrooms and worked long hours. Huerta and Chavez organized the workers and led them in strikes and boycotts.

"I'm very excited to meet her," said sophomore Sabrina Nicacio. "It will help me get to know more about where she came from and how she really felt back in the 50s and 60s when all these issues were happening."
