Hawk Heroes

Taylor Heninger
Taylor is a senior at Alta High.   He was noticed helping a handicapped student.   Taylor was carrying an instrument in both hands; the handicapped student’s and his own.   Both of the students came up to the PTSA table to get a donut.   Taylor helped the student get a donut but Taylor didn’t get one because his hands were full.   Taylor then helped him off to class.   What a great example to his students.

Braxton Bijou
Braxton always goes above and beyond in peer tutoring class.   His teacher said, “On Friday I had 2 IEP’s back to back.   My para-educator called in sick that morning.   My first IEP was at 7:00.   No other teacher was here to go in my class.   After the tardy bell, I went into class and Braxton was doing calendar with the student.   He had noticed there was no assistant and I was in a meeting.   He stepped in to help out without being asked.   He is always doing extra things for the student.   He even goes to their birthday parties.   This time he helped me out of a big jam. “   Good job Braxton.

Jessica Cassitty
Jessica is a good example to everybody.   She is so kind to everyone no matter whom they are.   She says hi to everyone and she helps people.   Jessica always has a very good positive attitude in all situations.   She puts others first and is very giving.   Congratulations Jessica.

Briawna Poieier
Briawna is a peer tutor and she has one of the most difficult students.   She is always so patient and kind to him, praises him for a job well done.   She really is a very kind person to everyone.   She treats everyone with respect.   She deserves to be a Hawk Hero.
