*Students if you are applying for BYU – the early priority deadline is December 1st. You will need to have your transcript requests in to the Registrar’s Office by Wednesday, November 25th in order to meet the deadline.
*Please look over your report card to ensure it’s accuracy. There have been some issues at the district level calculating GPA’s. Come to the registrar’s office if you notice a problem.
*Jostens will be at our school this Monday, November 23rd, during the lunch hour to help all of you who did not order your diploma, graduation ring, cap and gown, graduation announcements, and tassels. This is a make up day for those of you who did not turn in your order earlier this school year. Jostens will be located in the main hall by the Counseling Center. Please stop by to see the Jostens representatives if you have not ordered your graduation materials.
Please remember to bring your $60.00 deposit and ordering materials this Monday, November 23rd during lunch. Samples of our custom Alta High Class Rings and Class of 2010 graduation announcement will be on display. Extra class ring and graduation packets are in the main office if you need one.
*Congratulations to our Academic team who made a fine showing at the scrimmage at Bingham. Lauren Dixon was the top decathlete and placed in 5 of 7 categories. Eric Eastham also placed 1st in Economics. We still need a couple of team members. Ask your teacher for an application today.
*Alta’s Model UN Club will represent the nation of Brazil at the BYU Conference. MUN Club meets on Tuesday after school to begin the metamorphosis into Brazilians.
*Hey Hawks! Get out your video cameras for the film festival coming up! If you already got a flier last week be sure to pick up a new one in the main office.
*If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball. Sign up and pay $10.00 for dodge ball by November 30th. We will be collecting money by the student government room during both lunches. Remember you must pay to play. There are only 21 spots open for juniors, so juniors sign up quick!
