If you failed to watch the girl’s soccer game on Friday night, then you missed one of the most nail-biting games in Alta’s history. There was a high scoring battle on the field, with bad referee calls, girls getting injured, and wide open shots missed. Junior Bekah Wooden headed in two corner kicks and senior Ashley May placed a goal right over Davis goalie’s hands. Everyone thought the game was over when there was only two minutes of stoppage time left. The cameras became focused on the team, right until Davis scored a goal to tie up the game for 3-3 with ten seconds left. After going through double overtime, the game turned to final penalty kicks. The stressful match finally ended when goalie Tashia Long made the winning save. It definitely was an awesome game to end the senior’s long dynasty of playing for Alta soccer. Good job Lady Hawks!
