(February 10, 2000) -- An upcoming event will be Clark’s Mardi Gras dance, sponsored by the sophomore ASB. Ticket sales are on the week of February 16. Prices are yet to be determined.  The event will be a casual  dance held February 25, from 3-6:30p.m.  Those who attend will receive Mardi Gras beads. Also, snacks, treats and light rope bracelets will be sold at the dance.

"I hope it will  be a great success. I hope that everyone will  enjoy it,” said sophomore class president Paul  Oh.

This week, Val-o-grams will be sold, sponsored by the sophomore class. The Val-o-grams will be the usual type of grams where one can write a little note to whomever and have it sent to them with a little treat. ASB and the sophomores encourage students to buy Val-o-grams and send them to special friends as a special Valentine’s treat . They will be sold at 75 cents each and will be sent  Monday.

During the winter season, students at Clark Magnet High school attended the second annual Winter Ball. The Winter Ball of the millenium was held January 15. The night lasted from 7-11 p.m. and students danced on the floor of the cafeteria sprinkled with artificial snow.

Students were given the chance to make a memory of the night by taking pictures with their friends to capture the event and will also be given that chance at the next dance.
Many students said that the dance was a success. “The dance was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the beautiful decorations,” commented sophomore Elaine Myung. Also, students who attended said that they enjoyed the snacks and the music provided.

“It was nice that snacks and drinks were provided at the dance. I hope that they provide snacks and drinks at the next dances,” commented sophomore Lisa Min.
