(January 26, 2010) -- In response to the 7.0 earthquake that hit Port-au-Prince, Haiti on Jan. 12, Key Club started a fundraiser on Jan. 14 to help UNICEF raise money for aid. As of Monday, they have raised $2772.69 for the charity. Key Club members collect money from class to class, in bottles and envelopes with images of the Haiti disaster.

Clark families have also lent a helping hand in donating money to the relief fund, after being notified of the fundraiser by a call from Principal Doug Dall. The goal for UNICEF is to feed and shelter the surviving youth of Haiti. Haiti is one of the three poorest countries in the world and the earthquake created chaos and destruction for the small country.
