(June 13, 2008) -- "On Top of the World"—the theme speaks for itself: Clark’s senior prom took place at the La Cañada Country Club in the hills of La Cañada Flintridge on May 2. Despite the yearlong worrying and complaining about having the prom at a country club, the night turned out to be an absolutely beautiful one, unlike what many had anticipated. Even weeks after the prom was over, seniors commented on how memorable it had been and that they would do it all over again.

"I miss prom already," said senior Alvin Chin as he left the La Cañada Country Club at the end of the night. After all, it is not how fancy a ballroom is that determines how much fun prom turns out to be. "As a part of the student body, many upset people came to us, but we knew we could turn this into something wonderful," ASB President Julia Song said. "And I am very glad that they had fun."

Many seniors also thought that the DJ played a major role in setting the exciting mood. He played a variety of tunes ranging from hip-hop to disco to contemporary Armenian music.

The night came to a close with "My All" by Mariah Carey as couples slowly swayed to the music.
