As Halloween creeps around the corner, the hunt for a costume with the perfect amount of spook intensifies. Instead of following the dull trends of previous years, it is time to lash out and be bizarre, crazy, random, and chilling on the one day of the year you get to be anything you want to be. Whether you want to dress alone or with a friend or mate, here are a few wacky ideas to spice up any Halloween party.

Superman in a Chuck Norris Costume

Wear the shirt from a fake-muscled Superman costume. Over the top, wear a blue denim or flannel shirt with the top three buttons undone showing the Superman outfit. Add Chuck's beard, mustache, cowboy hat, boots, belt buckle and a star badge. Tell everyone that Chuck doesn't dress up as Superman for Halloween - Superman dresses up like Chuck Norris. Also get plenty of Chuck Norris jokes from the internet to have ready for the night.

Stick Man (or Woman)

Wear black clothes. Attach glow sticks in a line on your arms, legs and torso to look like a glowing stick person.

Cereal Killer

Take a bunch of empty miniature cereal boxes, stick plastic knives in the sides, paint with red paint or nail polish to simulate blood. Pin the boxes all over yourself.

Ugly Betty

Wear long brown hair, a long-sleeved shirt, vest and long skirt. Create heavy eyebrows using an eyeliner pencil. Wear red glasses and a necklace with a 'B' on it.

Beekeeper

Buy or make a beekeeper's hat, complete with netting all around it. Wear khaki clothing. Glue fake bumble bees all over hat and clothing. Carry around a fake beehive, which works well as a candy collector!

Mario and Luigi

Both wear blue overalls, long sleeve shirts (Luigi wears green and Mario wears red), brown sandals, extra-large curly fake mustaches, and white caps (with M for Mario and L on cap for Luigi).

Jim and Michelle from "American Pie"

Jim carries a pie tin across his groin and carries any assortment of props including crazy glue, a videotape, etc. Michelle brings a flute and talks constantly about "one time at band camp...."
