At-a-glance

It might be a long time before anyone forgets the night of the Little Brown Jug game of 2010.  The Big Spring Bulldogs sunk Shippensburg in a very close game, but in the end the Bulldogs triumphed.

The second the Bulldog fans filled the field after the game until the after party ended at midnight students were very happy with the win.  The party was a celebration of the win and 15 minutes of fame for the Big Spring Bulldogs on Channel 8 News, which covered the game for their Friday Night Lights feature.

Of course not everybody thought the Bulldogs were going to win.  When interviewed Paige Finkenbinder said “We’re definitely going to lose.” Lauren and Jadon Keck agreed.  Seth Flagle thought we had a good team, but that we would lose anyway.

Luckily some students did have faith in the team.  A sophomore on the team, Tyler Black, said “Oh yeah, I think we can definitely win.  We’ve been on a roll for the past two games.  Our defense is definitely good, I’ve noticed.”  When asked about his confidence Tyler replied “You’ve got to have confidence if you’re going to win.”  It turns out Tyler was right along with other Bulldog fans Bobby Brown, Kayla Dupert, Bryanna Hockenberry and Garrett Houck.

This year’s football team will be legendary for getting the LBJ back into Bulldog country after five years with Shippensburg.
