A dodge ball tournament to raise money for cancer patients is planned for March 7. The third annual event, sponsored by Club C.A. R. E. offers a $120 first prize to the top team.

            Teams will consist of six players and carry an entrance fee of $5 per player. Proceeds will be used to help the school’s effort to raise $32,009 for the Four Diamonds Fund.

            Entry packets include official rules, permission forms and team name sign up. Club C.A. R. E. adviser Ms. Ang Schneider encourages teams show some creativity in coming up with team uniforms.

            Alumni and faculty teams are encouraged to compete.

            Those interested in playing with a team may email Ms. Schneider at aschneider@bigspring.k12.pa.us for a team packet.

            The club is also seeking information from businesses willing to donate items to be raffled.

            The tournament will take place from 12-3. Spectator admission is $3.
