Roseville Police and Roseville Fire personnel responded to a report that someone had jumped off of the parking structure at the Galleria last Monday.  An 18-year-old male was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.  There was no sign of foul play.
The incident occurred at about 5:50 pm last Monday.
“The Placer County Coroner's Office will do an autopsy and investigation and establish the cause of death,” said Roseville Police Department spokesperson Dee Dee Gunther.
The Police Department was on the scene for about two hours and closed the parking structure and immediate area around the structure for that period of time.
“If indeed the coroner finds that this was a suicide, then this is even more tragic,” said Gunther. “But things get better and our ability to cope with problems usually improves as we get older.”
The man was a former student at Roseville High School and was enrolled at Adelante High School at the time of his death.
“We want teens to know that no matter how hard life may seem right now, it will get better and we’re here to help you,” said Gunther.
