The varsity boys track team has high hopes coming into this 2012 season. The Tigers look to build off a well played season last year. The focal point of the team is the 4x100 team with seniors Casey Lambert, Grady Allin, Gibran Zaman and junior Mauro Proo looking to wreak havoc on the rest of the Sierra Foothill League and State.

“We can definitely win SFL and even make state,” said Zaman. “We work with each other a lot, even the little things like our technique when we pass the baton. We practice really hard and hopefully it all pays off,” said Zaman.

According to junior Landon Peik, another bright spot on the team are the hurdlers who look to improve this season.

“I’m looking forward to this season,” said Peik. “I’ve been putting in a lot of work and hopefully the rest of the team has as well. We can be a force to be reckoned with if we all live up to our potential.”
