Roseville High School’s longtime college & career technician, Cindy Travasso, has recently been promoted to the position of school registrar. The registrar position entails handling registration and handling of all incoming and outgoing students.

“My new duties will include the registering of all incoming and outgoing students, keeping track of student info, and forwarding transcripts,” said Travasso. “I’ll be working very closely with the counselors.”

She will be replacing five-year registrar Julia Phelps, who chose to take an early retirement.

Travasso said that she feels well prepared for this new position because of her experience with the school.

“I’ve been the college and career center technician for 11 years,” said Travasso. “I wanted to seek something more challenging. I’ve been a registrar for summer school before and I really enjoyed it.”

According to Kim Moses, who will replace Travasso as the college & career technician, Travasso will do a great job as the registrar.

“I’m excited for the opportunity,” said Moses. “I think it’s going to be hard to follow in Mrs. Travasso’s shoes, because she did a great job as the College/Career center Tech and really made it more available for students, but I think that I can do a great job.”

Principal Brad Basham thinks that Travasso will do an excellent job as the registrar.

“We knew she was perfect for the job,” said Basham. “Her experience as registrar and as a sub during summer school really convinced us.”
