The annual sober grad night, an event where the senior class receives an opportunity to spend time with each other, will once again occur at Johns incredible Pizza. This year, the event will occur from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m.

“The idea of Sober Grad Night is smart, because it keeps all students out of trouble for the night,” said event coordinator Cindy Hosoda.

This is the second year that it has been held at Johns Incredible Pizza due to the variety of activities that will be available within the vicinity. The cost is also cheaper compared to that of Sun Splash which was the previous location.

The night will include an unlimited buffet, arcade games, a hypnotist, henna tattoos, pictures, and games that embrace $4000 worth of prizes. Prizes will remain unknown until the night of the event.

“I think it is a wise decision by the parents and administration to give us a type of safe haven for graduation night-for the students that want it at least,” said senior Chona Yadao.

According to senior Kelly Hosoda, rules will be enforced to ensure student’s safety. Buses will pick up graduating seniors from the cafeteria at Roseville High School and will take them to John’s Incredible Pizza. Parents must pick up their child from John’s Incredible Pizza at 5 a.m. Students are not allowed to drive to or from the event.

Yadao is not in favor of the idea of the event being at John’s Incredible Pizza.

“Although it is a good alternative, I think the location and the blue print of activities is very unsuitable for the interest of our age group, said Yadao.

Tickets start at $65 and will increase to $70 after today. Currently, about 70 seniors have already bought their tickets. Tickets are sold during both lunches in the cafeteria.

Kelly Hosoda anticipates for the event to occur during the upcoming weeks.

“I think it will be super fun,” said Kelly Hosoda. “Everyone will be given the chance to be together one last time before going off.”
