Freshmen lessons will be held during school in the Patti Baker Theater tomorrow and Wednesday for the freshmen P.E and health classes. Roseville High School will be holding these freshmen lessons in order to have counselors meet, talk, and get to know the freshmen class.

“It’s very important that we get to know them on a personal level,” said RHS counselor Jason Bradley.

During freshmen lessons, the councilors will be speaking about graduation requirements, class schedules, homework support center, confidentiality, and ways they will be able to possibly help the freshmen.

These lessons will provide the first step in starting relationships with the freshmen.

“[It will] encourage [them] to reach out if they need support,” said RHS counselor Michael Brockman.

According the Brockman, they are excited about the freshmen lessons and being able to see and meet all of the freshmen.

In addition, the counselors will be able to show how the freshmen can be successful students and how they can possibly plan their future.

“I guess it’ll be alright to plan my future, so I don’t become a hobo,” said freshmen Austin Finerty.

All the freshmen are required to attend these freshmen lessons, which are designed to not only help teach the students more about their school but much more.

“I think it’ll help to understand the school and maybe make smarter choices,” said freshmen Brooke Haltom.
