Terry Hagemeier
1.) I have been teaching in the district since 1982
2.) I was the JV softball coach, Head volleyball coach, summer PhyEd program, GSA since 2000, Fresh Start
3.) The contact that I have with the kids
4.)
I plan on being a sub for Bay Port and only Bay Port, travel, go to my
cottage, pontoon boat, go hiking four wheeling and mountain biking.
5.) When a kid has an aha moment. When kids accomplish goals they never thought they could do mentally or physically.
6.) Anatomy, I love the human body and I also loved it in college.
7.) Get
involved as much as you can with kids after school. Attend events like
sports and dances. You really see a different side of students that way.
Julie Kruk
1.) 15 Years
2.) HSEA, National Honor Society, Tobacco Cessation Group, also other things that are related to counseling.
3.) I will miss the school life. The start of the day being in high school and the high school atmosphere overall.
4.) I will be counseling in the community of Green Bay. I have also taken a new job counseling in jail.
5.) When kids come in and show gratitude and share how they have changed. Also when grads come back and stop in to say hi and share how they are doing.
6.) Science, that’s actually how I started and that was my training.
7.) Be yourself, be real, remember to do what you're passionate about.
Mary Kasprzyk
1.) I have been teaching here for 16 years.
2.) I was a class officer in the future teachers club and the first to teach the blended learning algebra class.
3.) Working with kids, day to day interaction, teaching math.
4.) I am unsure, possibly subbing. I need to learn what I want to do when I grow up.
5.) There are too many to remember, mostly when a student really understands the math.
6.) None, because I love math.
7.) Keep standards high. Be willing to accommodate all students to make sure they learn.
Mike Williquette
1.) I have been teaching here for 12 years, but did you know I taught at Green Bay West for 20 years?
2.)I am a PE Teacher, a football coach and a member of the School Climate Committee.
3.) I am going to miss it all. This was where I grew up; I went to high school here. I will miss my facility friends, teaching students. and the connection with teens.
4.)I would call it semi-retire because I plan to do a part time job and try something new, travel more, have fun and possibly volunteer.
5.)I coached football in 2003 and 2005 when we were just a few points short of playing in the championship held in Madison.
6.)I would have taught Biology or Anatomy because It's fun teaching how the body works, the energy systems and things like that.
7.)Don’t be a 7:30 to 3:00 teacher. Get involved in other ways with the school. Enjoy the good end kids don't dwell on the bad.
Tom Appel
1.) 11 Years and 9 years at the old Bay Port as associate principal
2.) Boys Basketball coach for 20 years and boys Golf coach for the last 5 years. I also coached JV Baseball and Football.
3.) The relationships with students and other faculty here at school.
4.) I plan on to continue coaching and spend time with the family like my new granddaughter.
5.) The semi finals basketball game down in Madison.
6.) Social studies, because I enjoy politics and history. I also hate writing papers.
7.) Enjoy teaching and ignore the side issues that can distract you from teaching.
Julie Pasowicz
1.) 37 years
2.) FBLA for 15 years and Track Coach for 2 years
3.) Kids, I have had great kids.
4.) I still want to teach somehow and enjoy the outdoors and spend time with family.
5.) Kids who have pulled through tough times in their lives and have overcame it.
6.) Social Studies, I like government and how it runs. I also like world issues.
7.) Like your kids more than the subject you teach.
