Constantly being the typical “nice guy,” sitting back and allowing his friends to walk all over him, and not acting until it’s too late is Brian O'Hara's problem these days. Being surrounded by couples isn't helping to boost his ego either. When his over-confident and almost cocky best friend, Adam, proposes to the perfect girl, Marjorie, Brian comes to terms that he is too late, once again. From the moment he saw her, Brian fell instantly in love with Marjorie. He was too late as Adam snatched her up into a whirlwind romance that lasted for months. Finally, he was going to end it once and for all until instead of ending it, he proposes to her.
Marjorie couldn't be happier with her situation with Adam, her perfect man, until she finds out that Brian loves her. Rethinking her situation, she is very hesitant about her upcoming wedding to Adam. She wonders where they'll be in five years, divorced and bitter or more in love than ever. As Brian and Marjorie battle to try to figure out their feelings, they kiss which leads to a chain reaction of events. Marjorie is definitely unsure about her upcoming wedding, Adam and Brian's friendship is ruined, and Brian is even more confused about his feelings. He wants Marjorie to be happy but he also wants to be with her more than anything. As the episodes keep coming, the love triangle becomes more complex and slowly begins to unfold itself as we can only watch on the edge of our seats while rooting for our favorite couples.
Brian's sister, Nic, is in her own questioning romance with her boy-toy husband, Angelo, as they desperately try to have kids. Their other friends, Dave and Deena, have three beautiful little girls and have been married for thirteen years. Like most married couples, Dave and Deena have their own problems and aren't exactly sure anymore if the positives of marriage outweigh the negatives.
As this complex and dramatic show airs every Monday, we can only wait and see what other shocking things occur to these three couples.
