Attention all juniors and seniors-- the last two chances to take the SATs are rapidly approaching.

Make sure you sign up for the test on May 1st by March 25th, or sign up for the SAT test on June 5th by April 29th.

More importantly, remember to study for the test.

Ms. Moser recommends that "Students should study the practice test and really learn the format."

On every Wednesday after school the college bound center holds SAT study groups until approximately 5:00.

The college bound center has SAT practice booklets that students can take home with them to allow themselves to get practice with the SATs and to recognize the format of the test.

In the past some students have broken 1000. Senior Justin Deloatch for example did well, but wasn't prepared.

He explained, "I didn't study, I forgot to bring a pencil and calculator, but I was as relaxed as I possibly could be."

Ms. Moser does not recommend this approach. She says the worst thing a student could do the day before the test is "not get enough sleep and not eat breakfast that morning,"

Junior David Reid says, "After practicing for the SATs I feel more confident that I will break a 900, at least."

Finally, colleges typically require a score of 800 minimum. Some colleges require an even higher score than that.

So be sure to do everything you can to receive the highest grade possible.

If you haven't taken the test, make sure you sign up for the next test on May 1st. You hold your future in your hands.
