Itching to become seniors, the juniors at Northwestern are taking it one step at a time. Now that senior inauguration is out of the way, everything has become official.
The class has made some important decisions over the past month by completing ballot voting in class meetings. Juniors can now look forward to a class trip to Six Flags in New Jersey this spring.
They will also be sporting navy blue and white to their formal events, as these are the official class colors. The class of 2005’s mascot will be the eagle.
In other exciting news, the class will be electing officers on Thursday, November 13th. Here are the candidates:
CLASS PRESIDENT:
Neika Rall
De’arnceyae Marks
Syed Ali
VICE PRESIDENT:
Kenya Litaker
Jasmine Mitchell
PARLIAMENTARIAN:
Kellei Burrus
Dominique Cunnungham
HISTORIAN:
Jessica Moreno
SECRETARY:
Charissa McIver
With three junior class meetings behind them, the class has gotten a glimpse of what will come for the future. The junior advisors are Mr. R. White, Mrs. P. Owens, Ms. N. Humphrey, Mrs. K. Brown, and Mrs. S. Wright.
The advisors are excited to "establish goals, share information, make plans for the junior year, and establish relationships within the junior class."
Though the junior meetings have been successful, it must be noted that behavior and punctuality need to be improved to continue the run of productivity.
It should also be noted that juniors should be in proper uniforms at all times.
