Get A Job

Most high school students’ schedules are crammed with extracurricular activities and a ton of homework each night. It is hard to stay ahead of the game with so much going on. It can be really stressful at times, especially senior year. Seniors are preparing for college and have to save money to afford it. To go to college, you need money, and for many high school students, this means you need a job. Getting a job is easy, it is balancing all your school responsibilities along with it that can be the tricky part.

There are quite a few students who don’t experience this in high school. I feel it is very important to maintain a job in high school. Yes, it can be very stressful at times and overwhelming, but I think it is also extremely beneficial.I think it helps better students for the real world. It helps you become more responsible, helps you figure out your strengths and weaknesses, and makes you a better leader. It can be hard trying to balance school work, but I think the experience is worth it in the end and really helps students later on in life.

I don't think everything should be handed to a kid, they should have to work for it. I am not saying parents shouldn’t help their children out in college, but have them get a job and see what it is like making money on their own. Receiving a paycheck is actually kind of exciting. It is a good booster for kids to be making their own money, and it helps them manage and handle money at a young age.

It is a difficult tasks, and some nights you go with very little sleep, but I definitely feel it is worth it and something all students should do at some point before college. If I can do it and still manage to keep my A’s, you can too.
