Black Friday’s Big Saving’s
Advertising
The big day finally arrived. The one day everyone has been waiting for...Black Friday. It’s a day some stores have big sales on some of their top dollar items. This day allows people to go out and buy items for half the price in some stores. The ads and commercials let people in on all the deals; the internet also allows people to look at different store’s ads for their deals on specific items.

Cameron High School students are were involved this year, allowing them to save money and getting to spend quality time with friends and family members. “I get involved in Black Friday, because its fun! You get in on some great deals and it is a mad rush to save money! Some of my family members go as a group and we have gone to stores as early as three in the morning, that way we can wait in lines for what we went for,” said Senior, Joslynn Marco.

The deals vary at every store, but if people look for good stuff they will find it. Saving on Christmas presents is always the best way to start the holiday season. Morgan Means looks for the best deals. “I have seen deals like up to half off, and deals like at Victoria Secret where you get a tote and get to fill it for $75.”

The Black Friday deals bring out the craziness in some people, likely from waiting in lines for hours and the fighting over items just because the stock is low is crazy. “A lot of people camp out to wait in line for doors to open, some people rush around making sure they get what items they want before the item is gone. In some cases the day after Thanksgiving people will start waiting in line for hours before the store opens,” said Senior Morgan Kennedy.

For those who have not been Black Friday shopping, here is some advice from CHS Senior Morgan Means. “ I would recommend Black Friday only if you think you have the energy and attitude to not let people push you around and rip you off and steal your things, because people actually do steal things out of your basket when you’re not looking,” she explained.

Black Friday has already passed this year, but keep a look out for the ads, commercials, and the talk about next year’s deals. Most of the deals are unbeatable and hard to pass up. This is a great way to get expensive Christmas gifts for cheaper than out right prices, not to mention getting Christmas shopping done early is always a plus.
