Perhaps you think of a beautiful voice singing or an amazing band? At Superbowl XLV, Christina Aguilera messed up the song. To some people it was a disgrace, but others didn’t seem to care. “I think she was shocked and trying too hard,” says Sophomore Skyler Steele. “I know some people mess up and get nervous but that was odd. You don’t mess up the National Anthem like that. She messed up a lot of it,” he added. Christina said that she was blown away by the massive crowd and choked up halfway through. Interestingly enough, the pressure is handled by some of our very own students at CHS on a regular basis--students like Sophomore Ashtyn Clay.    “I got to choose when I wanted to sing at the Royal’s games,” said Sophomore Ashtyn Clay. “I audition to sing at the games. It was quite the experience. It’s lots of fun though singing in front of all those people,” she explained. The Superbowl ended up a great game: 31-25 Green Bay. Christina Aguilera may have messed up the National Anthem, but that’s no excuse to hate her. Many people still like her and love her singing.
