Mrs. Stephanie Williams is being awarded the Missouri Marketing and Cooperative Education Teacher of the Year. “Missouri Marketing and Cooperative Education Teacher of the Year is for any teacher in the state of Missouri who teaches Marketing Classes”. Mrs Williams explained. Mrs.Williams’ has been a teacher for twenty  years, twelve of which she has spent in Cameron.

Mrs. Williams’ has lived in Cameron for pretty much her entire life and she graduated from  Cameron. From there she went on to college at Missouri Western State University, received  her associates degree in Business and Bachelor's degree in Business Education. She recived her Master’s degree in Business Education from Northwest Missouri State University. Mrs.Williams has two children, both of which graduated from Cameron High School.

Tony Russo commented, ”Mrs.Williams is nice. She’s a really good teacher to have. She has a nice personality,She can get along with everyone.”

Mrs. Williams is respected very much by her administrators’. She’s the one to go to if you require help with something. Mrs Williams has never had any problems, nor has anyone had problems with her. Mr. Gerber said “I think Mrs. Williams does a great job in the classroom. She does a lot of different things with her students She incorporates new activities daily, which gets the kids thinking about what they should be doing in her class.”

The rules for getting the award are very strict. Two years ago she was nominated for the same award, so she filled all the paperwork out but was a day late turning it in. Therefore, she was disqualified from getting the award.”It was harsh,” Mrs.Williams said.

Mrs.Williams was nominated by one of her peers somewhere in Missouri once again this year, though she wasn’t told who nominated her. She was sent an 8-page application and before it was finished the final application ended up being 14 pages long when she added all the stuff together. She had to get six recommendations by students, fellow staff, and by administrators. “It’s a lot of work,” she said.
