Sometimes in life things work out and some things don't. Even if they were not planned, they can work out perfectly. Well, through her hard work over her school years Sophomore Kayla Groebe is hoping to get what she deserves. Kayla wants to be invited to one of the best FFA opportunities in a sophomore's career called the Missouri Agribusiness Academy. It is held in Jefferson City in April. Only 60 students in the whole state are invited to this great awards ceremony and through her hard work and studying, she hopes it will work out.

Kayla said, "Many people are trying to get to go just like me, but that just makes me want it more. I hope that will give me the edge I need to get there."  Kayla is a smart and talented girl and succeeds in many things, but shes not the only one who is trying for this award.

Sophomore Kelsey Appling said," Kayla is the type of person always going to succeed because she never gives up and will always get her work done." Kayla is a straight A student and plays volleyball as the defensive specialist for the Junior varsity team.

Kelsey said, "When Kayla and I hang out she is always happy and striving to help in general."

Kayla has an older sister who is always pushing her to the limits. Kayla actually appreciates the pressure. "My sister and i get along pretty well, even though she is always pushing me to the limit," she explained. Kayla loves being in FFA because she gets to be with all her friends after and during school. Kayla's area of emphasis is cows, and though it may not sound fun with her friends she has fun any time. "FFA is something I enjoy being in because most of my friends are in it and it gives me something to look forward to. That's why I want to go to Jefferson city at the Missouri Agribusiness Academy."

Even if she doesn't get to go this year, there is always next year. Kayla is only a sophomore and already made so many opportunities for herself. We are sure you will succeed in any goals you may have Kayla and wish you the best of luck.
