You can't wait to get outside and play in the sun and breathe in the springtime air. Well, CHS holds Spring Fever Reliever every year to help students deal with the side effects of Spring Fever. Spring Fever Reliever is a week filled with games and laughter. It starts on March 30th and ends on April 3rd. All week long seminar and fourth hour will be flipped so class isn't interrupted.   The MORP dance kicked off Spring Fever Reliever. The dance was on Friday March 27, from 8-11 P.M. The attire was anything relating to blackout lights.    Student Council[StuCo] members decide on what the dress-up days would be this week. This years dress-up days are: Monday- Tornado Day, Tuesday-Dynamic Duo, Wednesday-Celebrity Day, Thursday- Opposite Day  and Friday- Formal Friday. Tornado Day is the day to come to school with torn clothes and wind blown hair. Be appropriate, and no pajamas! For Dynamic Duo Day, you and your friends can dress up as anything or anybody who goes together (salt and pepper, twins, etc.). Students were actors/actresses and famous singers on Celebrity Day. On Opposite Day, girls dress up like guys and guys dress up like girls. Make sure its school appropriate! Formal Friday, students should dress up in formal attire, dresses and suits etc. No spaghetti straps are allowed on dresses and the dress must be the appropriate length.   StuCo Secretary Allison Murphy said, "I think this year's activities are going to be better than last year's. It should be fun." Stuco plans out the events and dress-up days and then votes for the best ones to hold during Spring Fever Reliever. This years activities are: Monday-Duck-Duck Goose, Tuesday-Scavenger Hunt, Wednesday- Food Contest, Thursday-Atom 1, and Friday- Jailbreak. The Scavenger Hunt was in the gym. The StuCo members called out an item and students looked for it in the items they had with them. Atom 1 is a group event. If someone calls out 'Adam 2', you have to find one person and put your hands together. Whoever is the odd one out has to sit down.   Stu-Co Adviser Mrs. Studle said, "I think Spring Fever Reliever is a great way to break away from the winter and to get students back into gear and work hard the rest of the spring."   Participating in Spring Fever Reliever is a great way to have fun in school without getting in trouble. You can kick back and have fun with the events and dress-up days so get in the spirit CHS!
