November  25th   , starting at 7p.m the Cameron Goodrich Auditorium filled up with family and friends of the class of 2017. These bright, young 4th graders were putting on a musical play. They sang quite a few songs related to patriotic themes. It was a patriotic play, so all the kids were pretty much decked out in red, white, and blue. All these children took pride in what they were doing. They all understood and knew why they were singing the songs they were. Each song had a meaning behind it.

Cameron Parkview Elementary Music Teacher Mrs. Quigly said,"We practiced the songs that we sing for awhile. Well, until each kid had it down like it was a piece of cake. It may have took a few class periods, but it was so worth it! I'm so happy and proud that my 4th grade students cooperated so well. It really meant a lot to me. I have been doing this probably since around the year 2000. Each year it seems to just get better and better."

Eddie Yeager said, "Singing is not really my thing, like at all, but I did what was asked anyway. I had a lot of fun. It was just kind of embarrassing. I'm glad I got to sing with all of my friends though!"

Mrs.Quigly explained, "These are memories that the children may think are good or maybe even bad, but they can cherish that childhood memory forever. I think it was just a wonderful experience for these kids and I hope they stick stick with music as they grow up, whether it be band or choir.

Sarah Blanton said, "I loved it! I kind of like singing in front of others. It was really fun to sing with all of my friends. Knowing that there was so many people watching kinda made me nervous, but it was fun!"

Mrs.Quigly said, "I had faith in all these kids. They all did just an outstanding performance. They couldn't have done any better. We do these music programs because it is in our curriculum, but it is also kind of a fun activity. Just overall I'm really proud of all my students!"

These 4th grade students would like to say thanks for all the people who came out to see them perform. The next music program will be December 18th, which will be the 2nd grade students performing, so come out and see them!
