Last year Jensen Granier and Jamie Dancer, who at the time were Seniors, did Drinking Ends All Dreams as their DECA project. They did a mock car accident to show the High School students what happens if you drink and drive. The next day they had a grim reaper who came around and got students Jensen and Jamie painted their faces white to show they were dead, to show how many High School students get killed every twenty minutes due to drinking and driving in the U.S. Jensen and Jamie did their project hoping they would change Cameron High School students' lives and and stop that many more students from driving drunk and save that many more from being in an alcoholic-related accident.

Seniors Bobby Thompson and Emilie Hamilton took the project over this year. They did another mock car accident this year for the 7th and 8th grade students at Cameron Middle School. The mock accident took place on Thursday, October 30, Bobby and Emilie did this as part of their DECA student project.

Alumni Jensen Granier said, "I'm honored they felt this project was worthy and important enough to expand and recreate. I hope this will affect the future of many students' decision to drink and drive. They did an excellent job at planning and implementing the project. I wish them the best of luck at districts."

Alumni Jamie Dancer said, "I think what they did was a good idea I know that we wanted it to be done again and Bobby and Emilie did a good job. Hopefully it can be done every year, but maybe a little scarier so they really understand that drinking and driving is a serious matter ."

Emilie and Bobby chose this as their DECA project because the have both experienced traumatic situations with drunk drivers. Emilie's dad was in an accident last year involving a drunk driver, and Bobby almost lost his ten year old sister to a drunk driver.

Their project was similar to Jensen and Jamie's, but there were quite a few differences. Bobby and Emilie used two cars and they did it for the 7th and 8th graders at CMS.

Senior Bobby Thompson said, "I wanted to do this project because statistics show that more and more younger people are drinking and ridding with people who have been drinking."

Jensen, Jamie, Emilie, and Bobby did this project because it was important to them and they were all hoping to change lives and help others. As long as they helped one person they were definitely successful.
