Students may notice a new addition being made to the side of the fieldhouse this year. Construction crews are working hard to get new P. E. stations underway.

The stations were part of the original plan for the Freshman Center, but because of the cost for the taxpayers, construction was halted until now.

“[The School Board] gives me an idea about what they want,” Superintendent Dr. Janet Emerick said, “and we work together to make it happen.”

The School Board will use yearly funds to build these P.E. stations that will open up two to four classrooms in the main high school building.

These stations will be completed for the 2007 school year and will consist of boys and girls locker rooms. The building itself should consist of a two floor shell that, for the 2008 school year, will have both a volleyball and basketball court.

A new gym and auditorium are also soon to be built once the P.E. stations are completed.
