NFL- The Chicago Bears winning streak was snapped at 8 games as they were defeated by the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Dec. 11. Ageless wonder Jerome Bettis rushed for over 100 yards as Pitt won 21-9. Bears QB Kyle Orton had a better day passing however throwing for 206 yards.

NBA-Pacers standout Ron Artest has demanded a trade. He claims he wants a fresh start and could be out of Indy very soon. Artest lost the love ever since his brawl with the Pistons caused him a suspension of all of last season.

NBA - Pat Riley has taken over the coaching job in Miami. Stan Van Gundy resigned and Riley stepped in. Miami now has a healthy Shaq and a new coach, look for them to continue dominance in the Easter Conference

NHL-The Blackhawks have won two straight games as they 3rd in the Western Central division. With victories over the Rangers and Thrashers, the Hawks reached 26 points, 8 points ahead of the 4th place Blue Jackets.

MLB - The Chicago Cubs traded for center fielder Juan Pierre. The Cubs gave up a couple minor league pitchers to get Pierre. Pierre will fill the Cubs gap in center field and gives them a legit lead offer hitter who could steal 60 bases.

Boys Basketball- The team got their first win of the season in an OT thriller at Crown Point. Senior Adam Short led the team with 28 points while junior Zach Fehrman nailed free throws with barely any time left to finish with 16 points and give the team a 77-75 victory.
