With the upcoming presidential election, the news on TV is having too many influences on the people’s views of our current president, George W. Bush.

“People really need to establish what a democrat is, not just listen to the media,” senior Susan Allegretti said. “Many people in Lake Central are democrats because they let the media influence them, and the media is very biased. I tend to take the opposite approach.”

Allegretti has very strong republican views and has a lot of faith in our current president.

“I have more conservative views,” Allegretti said. “My family has been a big influence on me being republican.”

Unfortunatly, Allegretti will not be able to take part in this presidential election, but she believes people who are able to vote should.

“In four years I will take my opportunity to vote,” Allegretti said. “Right now, I believe people have faith in President Bush to finish his job in Iraq. Kerry really has no opinion. If you’re a conservative, you’re going to want him to finish. Nobody said it was going to be a quick fix.”

She believes the presidential campaigns would be more of a benefit to society if the media on the television kept their opinions out.

“We should be putting the successes of President Bush on the news,” Allegretti said, “but we don’t because it’s liberal, and everyone likes to hear the negative news. The news is a lot of misconception.”

She believes that President Bush has brought new ideas to the White House over this past term and that people know more about him than his opponent Senator John Kerry.

“I’m not going to really comment on Kerry because I haven’t studied him so much,” Allegretti said. “President Bush has been our president for four years. I think he should be able to finish what he started. What is Kerry going to do with the war if he becomes president? We know what President Bush’s plans are, and I fully support them.”
