Past Westfield Mall and right off of Route 30, there is a bright shop that serves up healthy smoothies and is famous for its “liquid sunshine.”

Jamba Juice may seem like just another smoothie joint, but really it’s quite unique. This health food fanatic’s dream blends its customers only fresh fruit.

The menu tells exactly what is in every smoothie and the number of carbs and calories. As if this wasn’t enough, Jamba Juice even has light, low-calorie smoothies for those who are trying to drop a couple pounds.

Unfortunately, because of my dislike of change, I got the same thing both times. I chose a Peenya Kowlada. Both times it was delicious.

The first time I went, the person who I was with selected the Orange-A-Peel which, in my opinion, was not as good as mine, but still quite tasty. The person I was with the second time picked Caribbean Passion.

I bought the 16oz. cup each time I went, which is the smallest. The price of the 16oz. is $3.25. The next biggest, original, is $4.05 and the largest one, power, costs $4.85. A bit over-priced, but what smoothie place isn’t?

I know what you’re thinking, “Every smoothie place has smoothies and who cares what the music is like?” Well, my friends, now comes the part of Jamba Juice that makes it stand out from all the other smoothie sellers: boosts.

Jamba Juice has several different kinds of boosts. Jamba’s boosts are powdered nutrients to mix in a smoothie. There is one free boost with every smoothie. A few of them are Vita-boost, Femme-boost, Protein-boost, and Energy-boost.
