At-a-glance

AFC
  1. New England (14-2) -The team of the decade has another strong team this year with a relatively easy schedule this year. Their two loses this year come against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3 and the Eagles in Week 12. All though the team is very good, expect some surprise losses because the team looks pretty inconsistent.Tom Brady already has thrown 6 interceptions in 5 games, which is 2 more than all of last season.
  2. Baltimore (14-2) - Baltimore has one of its most solid teams in the last decade with returning veteran QB Joe Flacco, star running back Ray Rice on offense, and all-star defenders Ray Lewis and Ed Reed.  Along with many up and coming young players and an easy schedule, this team is a formidable challenge. The team is young, and it has its flaws in cornerback, but any game against the Ravens could be a good one.
  3. Pittsburgh (13-3) - Although Pittsburgh has struggled after Superbowl appearances, Pitt will have a respectable year due to an easy schedule.  Keep an eye out for close games and 4th quarter breakdowns because the team is one of the oldest in the league.
  4. Houston (12-4) - This is one of the younger up-and-coming teams in the NFL. They have an exceptional QB and last year's league leading rusher, Arian Foster, and a very strong defensive line. Don't forget all-star wide receiver Andre Johnson.  Expect the Texans to lose some close games because of the harrowing injuries that have plagued the team so far.
  5. San Diego (11-5) - San Diego has come out to a strong start, which is the complete opposite of what the team is used to. Norv Turner's Chargers have all ways started the season in a slump but have ended the season strong. This year it looks as though the team will stay strong throughout the season, only losing to some high profile teams such as the Baltimore Ravens.
  6. Buffalo (11-5) - Probably the biggest surprise in the AFC because of an only mediocre record year last year, no one expected them to be THIS good. The Bill's defense leads the league in interceptions with 12, and QB Ryan Fitzpatrick is producing for once in his career.  He also scored the highest total amount of points on the Woderlic test, earning a 48 out of 50.

Here are a few more to consider:

7. Tennessee (11-5)

8. New York Jets (10-6)

9. Oakland (8-8)

10. Cincinnati (8-8)

11. Denver (6-10)

12. Cleveland (5-11

13.  Kansas City (4-12)

14.  Jacksonville (2-14)

15.  Indianapolis (2-14)

16.  Miami (1-15)

NFC
  1. Green Bay (15-1) -This is by far the most dominant team in the NFL. The Packers probably have the best overall team with fantastic QB Aaron Rodgers and strong running backs , Ryan Grant, James Starks and A.J. Green. The team has a whole slew of wide receivers and Aron Rodgers, who makes them ten times better just by being their QB. I have the Packers as 15-1 because it is extremely hard to go undefeated. I have the Packers lose to the Lions in Detroit because I believe the Lions have all the tools to take them down.
  2. New Orleans (12-4) -The Saints will have a redemption year after an upsetting 2010 season and will have the second best record in the NFC right behind the near perfect Packers. The Saints have one of the best QB’s in the game and are ready to use him to slice apart any teams secondary, leading the team to the Superbowl like he did in 2009.
  3. San Francisco (10-6) -The 49er’s are a big surprise but have definitely proved themselves, even though they are in an easy division with the Rams, Cardinals, and Seahawks. Nonetheless, San Fransisco has improved, and they are starting with the addition of a new coach, Jim Harbaugh, who happens to be the brother of Baltimore’s head coach John Harbaugh.
  4. Atlanta (10-6) - Atlanta was a highly-anticipated team at the beginning of the year, and Matt Ryan was supposed to be one of the leagues best QB’s; however, has yet to put up substantial numbers in the first five game. Although their was a slow start, I believe the Falcons will pull a San Diego Chargers and will pull themselves together in a major comeback later in the season.
  5. New York Giants (9-7) - A mediocre Team in a mediocre division, the Giants end up the best in the NFC Eas,t which isn’t saying much.  Nonetheless the Giants have Eli Manning, who can put up consistent numbers from week to week, and a decent running back who also can put up good numbers each game.
  6. Detroit (9-7) - Detroit is THE biggest surprise of all the teams of the NFL, and Detroit hasn’t been to the playoffs in 18 years and looks to be on its way to break that streak. Although they had a very strong start, the Lions will hit the wall and be finally pulled back into reality.  They will lose a couple games in a row, but in the end the Lions will prevail due to a pretty weak division this year and a lot of help from wide receiver Calvin Johnson and QB Matt Stafford.

Here are a few more to consider:

7. Philadelphia (9-7)

8. Dallas (8-8)

9. Tampa Bay (7-9)

10. Chicago (7-9)

11. Washington (7-9)

12. Carolina (5-11)

13. Seattle (4-12)

14. Arizona (4-12)

15. Minnesota (3-13)

16. St. Louis (1-15)
