On December 2, DECA students left for New York, accompanied by several other schools.

In New York the students stayed in Times Square. They participated in many activities such as riding the ferry to the Statue of Liberty and taking a bus tour of Little Italy, Soho, Greenwich, and Spanish Harlem. The group also got a chance to dine in Planet Hollywood, and according to senior, Chelsea Harman, “We got to eat the most awesome pizza!”

The students watched the Radio City Music Hall’s Christmas show and they saw the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center. They also attended a tour of the CBS and NBC studios and even got to appear on CBS: The Early Show. Two of the biggest tours were the ones made to the Federal Reserve Bank, where they saw gold, and FAO Swartz toy store, from the movie Home Alone.

Senior Olivia Watson said, “New York is the bombest place I’ve ever been!”
