To those who don’t know what manga is it is a Japanese comic book that varies in number of volumes depending on the length of the story. Most important thing to remember is that the manga is read from right to left or else you will ruin the ending (I know because I speak from experience.) There were instructions but I was too cool to read them. Manga is the hottest thing from Japan it has nothing on sushi. I mean I don’t just read the manga because it features hot guys and cool powers it’s because it’s “intellectual” (it is a book after all.)
Juvenile Orion is based on a card game made in Japan but this manga’s story line has been developed by Square-Enix because Juvenile Orion is based on an adaptation of the Japanese card game (kind of like Yu-Gi-Oh), a battle between powerful beings and monsters, but it has different story line than the original. The author of Juvenile Orion is Sakurako Gokurakuin and is published by Broccoli .It’s actually a new manga publishing and not a vegetable.
Manga has very good graphics as well a mixture of funny drawing you would find in a comic strip of a newspaper. It’s a story that you can see and read; full of pictures ideal (for those who don’t like reading.) I enjoy manga because as I read I have a visual of how the characters look and their expression which helps me capture the mood and tone of the story. This manga is drama/action but it is also funny and it always makes you want to keep reading.
Mana and her friends have super natural powers that are divided in five factions: Arayashik, Wiz-Dom, Dark lore, Evolution Girls Organization or E.G.O., and the Erasers
The heroine of the story is Mana Kirihara who is reunited with her childhood friend from seven years ago, Kaname Kusukab, in the first volume. She returns to live with her aunt after her mother passed away. Mana’s return changes the lives of Kaname and his best friend Noaya (who’s is the comic relief of this story). In addition her classmates Isshin and Tsukasa and her teacher Tomonori (who are also hot guys), soon join Mana to fight in the new Aquarian Age. The Aquarian Age is a battle that has been raging for over two thousand years. It’s a war where they decide between using their powers to harm others or using their powers to protect the world from those who try to destroy it or conquer it.
In the second volume Lafael, a follower of Kaoru, haves a brief encounter with Mana and her group that poses a new threat to the world’s peace. Kaoru is a mind breaker like Mana but plans to fill the world with terror and hatred just as the world had been to her because of her powers and appearance.
In the third volume Noaya takes Mana to meet his twin sister Haruna, who is a very powerful psychic that helps to unlock Mana’s dark past. The past reveals Amou as an unmerciful and cold killer who slaughtered Mana’s father. Amou and Mana let go of the past and learn to work together in harmony.
The fourth volume Kaoru continues to hunt those with power and it seems Mana’s on their list. Mizunagi uses a binding spell to quickly kidnap Mana and keeps her hostage; so the game begins between Mana and Kaoru, a battle between good and evil.
The final battle between Mana and Kaoru has finally arrived the day of reckoning; in other words Kaoru is mad. Everyone fights to their limits and discovers their true powers in order to save Mana from the evil clutches of Kaoru.
The continuation of the next manga continues with a new mind breaker and his team (more hot guys), appears in volume six. Will he be a threat or an ally?
I liked the last volume better it’s the climax of the story. It has more battle scenes and for the girls more heart warming scenes between Mana and Kaname. The box set is currently out it will be the best five hours of your life.
