At-a-glance

The Arrowhead girls’ varsity basketball team had a huge victory last night against visiting Milwaukee Pius winning 58-52 after overtime.

The Warhawks trailed by three after the first period, but made a huge comeback in the second period outscoring the lady Popes 19-6. This is due to the fact that the Warhawks’ four leading scorers were all in double digits. Kaylee Cardinal had 18 points, and Katie Hackbart added 13. Ashley Peck helped by putting in 12 and Sally Colby had 10 tallies. Morgan Sacharski, a starter for the Warhawks and a former Lady Pope, also added 5 points.

This big win for the Hawks solidified their 2nd place standing in the Classic 8 Conference and added yet another win to their record, making them 9-2 in conference and14-2 on the season.

Every game counts now for the Warhawks with only 4 games left in the regular season.

The Warhawks will match up against Kettle Moraine this Friday, February 2 at 7:30 P.M.
