After the family swim night on Saturday, March 24^th 11 boys from Troop 68 in Hall along with three adults, spent the night in tents camping in the courtyard. When they rose from their slumber the next morning the boy scout troop started a community service project. There project included cleaning around the Whitman campus. The boys cleaned the outdoor classroom in the woods just north of the football/ sports utility shed, they built and replaced multiple benches that were previously at the outdoor classroom. The boys removed non school approved fire pits, raked leaves, and picked up trash including fallen branches and several bags of litter. The boys also cleaned the drainage ditches that surround the property. The boys work is much appreciated, the names of boys who participated are, Nick Schoeller, Nathan Mayton, Thain Rohring, John Jones, Tom Kikkert, Dakota Frere, Tyler Schwartz, Raymond Marotta, Nolan Yarger, Conor Wright and Justyn Carr. The adaults who supervised the Camp and Clean are Tina Schoeller, Michelle Rohring, and Mark Mayton. All the work was helpful and we from the Whitman Word thank you all.
