The 98pxy High School Challenge has proven to be a great success for our school. We finished second place our first year entering the contest and first place last year when we won a free concert by pop sensation Justin Bieber. This year, to your liking, we will be entering the contest again in January. Although last year’s contest took place around this time, 98pxy has postponed it until January. The prize for this year’s contest is still unknown as well as the destination of the donations.

Currently, the school has five hundred dollars raised and the leadership class is holding off on a penny challenge until the date of the high school challenge is confirmed. The goal for this year’s penny raising contest is equal to or more than last year’s total, which won us the concert. In total, the school raised three thousand dollars for the Hillside Family of Agencies.

In Mr. McLaughlin’s opinion, the best way to raise money is to "get people involved" in what we are doing. Furthermore, he says the students will be going door to door and will be going to local businesses to try and raise money. Additionally, they will be having a competition in the school to get the students to raise money, but have fun while doing it. Keep your ears open for more information.
