Lincoln is a small town with lots of kids in it. Without things to do we teens get into trouble. If kids want to do something active besides drinking or smoking they have to go to Roseville. Some of the things in Roseville that are main attractions are the; movie theatre’s, bowling, and roller skating. The mall is a big place to just hang out and there is nothing close to that in Lincoln.

Kids need something to interest them but at the same time be good for them at the same time. It needs to be a social thing that doesn’t require too much thinking power so it doesn’t seem academic.

When Alyssa Larsen was asked about what she thought might make a good activity for the teens, she said, “We need a movie theatre that doesn’t play movies like Beauty and the Beast and Flubber.” She continues, “The Heritage Theatre is great but its films don’t interest the average teen.

“A Roller King would be a great activity to do at night,” says Junior Joe Hobbs.

When Junior Cameron Wharton was asked about what he normally does without any place to go, he replied, “I just go to parties and do the do, yadada mean?”

With places to go and things to do, kids would not have time to get into trouble and get drunk or high, so really it would help out our future if we had more things to do.
