Everyone on the waiting list has been waiting anxiously for the arrival of the new lockers. But when will they get here? That question has been asked by many of the students that are on the locker waiting list.

Luckily for us, the lockers are here! They arrived here on September 29th and with them a big controversy came too. Who will get them first? It really depends on the place your name is on the waiting list, because the office staff will just go down the list.

“We will be getting about one hundred lockers,” said Mr. Brown, he also said that because of the student increase he will be ordering a hundred more until the new high school opens.

They are being installed at the end of Mrs. Nelson’s room, but students are complaining that their stuff in the lockers might get wet because of rain of the sprinklers.

But how does the school plan to solve this problem? “We are going to build an overhead over the lockers,” said Mr. Brown. Thankfully the city is paying for it and Mr. Brown assures that it is not overly expensive.

The lockers will be very convenient for the students and will help the halls be less crowded. There are many situations where, some of the students share a locker with someone else. Some of the students don’t mind sharing lockers with one or more people and will stay sharing because the locker is in such a convenient spot, or some didn’t even know that there was a waiting list, and the people that don’t have a locker.

“It really depends on where the locker is, because the one I have right now is in a good place,” said junior, Emily Goyins, she shares a locker with two other people, and didn’t really know there was a locker waiting list.

“It’s hard because the person I share lockers with has a lot of school work and there is only place for me to put one book,” said freshman, Beatriz Isidro. She is currently on the waiting list for a locker and says that she will not stay sharing if she gets a locker.

“I need a locker because, I have to take my books home and bring them back every day, and that is very hard,” said sophomore, Tina Kaur. She doesn’t have a locker and has been on the waiting list since this summer.

Well, the wait is over, and most of the people that don’t have a locker will get one, and if not, until next year.
