With a current record of 6-5 they are above a .500 winning percentage, which for most teams would be acceptable, but not for Lincoln High. After the heartbreaking loss to Mesa Verde they were officially robbed of their chance at playoffs. “Everybody in the league is dangerous and if you aren’t playing 100% the whole game you’re going to lose.” Says pitcher Eric Fernstrom. Bear River and West Campus seem to be the two-standout team’s that have been giving Lincoln some trouble.

They work very well as a team. They just need to get over their one major problem that is costing them runs. They need to be consistent, that is the only thing making them suffer losses that they shouldn’t have lost. Next year they expect to be a solid team, they were lucky they have a solid line of JV players to move up and compete at the varsity level to help them have a successful team. They do, although lose the senior players which are a big reason for their success. “Should be better next year, the loss of the seniors will hurt, but we can make up for it hopefully. Adds Fernstrom. There is no promises as to what Varsity will do next year, it all depends on how successful the other teams in league are.
