Bob and I would like to thank and recognize three Lincoln High students. We would like to give our appreciation to these students for their involvement with our Special Olympics team, BVDC.

They are : Eric Reed, Ron Martin and Katie Brown. There are additional students and faculty of Lincoln High who helped with the Special Olympics basketball tournament, “Zebra Jamboree.” They screened t-shirts, were referees and other jobs.

Eric Reed has really stepped in and become an active “coach” for basketball and floor hockey. He relates well with the athletes and has had to handle things on his own a few times when Bob was unable to be there because of track or other commitments. He deserves some recognition.

Ron Martin went to the Regional qualifier for winter sports with our son Ken and coached him in Snowboarding. Ken came home with a gold medal. He coached and chaperoned in a very quiet unassuming way. Ken loves him.

Katie Brown has helped for a couple of years and has always been a great help, she has a little more on her own schedule now so does not come out as often but we really appreciate all she has done with the team.
