Relationship Woes
Advertising
Relationships are a nice, beautiful thing in life. Well, for the most part. People nowadays, from our observations, seem to perceive relationships as being only with your significant other. Well, they’re not.
There is a lot to learn from having relationships with even your own family members. They are always there, and will most likely never go away. The difference is that you can lose friends and romantic partners along the way, which can be troublesome to certain people. The way to handle this is to just be you. The ideal relationship is not supposed to be a give-and-take situation. You have those people because they are who you can connect and feel a sense of comfort with; someone you can talk to at anytime without being put down.
And everyone: You can be intimate with someone without it involving sexual activity. When most people hear the word “intimate” or “intimacy,” the first thing that most likely comes to mind is, “They’re doin’ it.”
Grow a sense of maturity and realize that being intimate with your partner actually derives from what was stated in the paragraph above. You are open and honest and have a connection with them. That’s what being intimate really is.
Those of you out there who have even the slightest doubt about those you’re with should ask yourselves if they are right for you. You don’t want to end up going down the wrong path with someone who isn’t right for you or treating you the way you should be treated.
