-The following students’ work was selected by the Ohio Art Education Association Erin Corneliussen, Lauren McKelley, Katie Eastman and Greg Karnuth.



-The North Canton City School district recieved an excellent rating on the Ohio Department of Education report card for the 8th consecutive year.

-Mrs. Patti Thoman is holding a new class this year called WOW Introduction into the World of Work. Students will learn the necessary skills needed for finding and maintaining a job.

-The District office welcomed two new staff members this year: Mr. Rick Pontius as Special Education director and Mrs. Tammy Fanning in the Education Management Information System.

-The following boys went to Buckeye Boys State this summer: David Esber, Tim Hartzell and Nick Sincere. Rachel Beasley attended the Buckeye Girls State.

-Mr. Ted Issue and Mr. Mike Sumser were named into the Hall of Distinction Sept. 17.

-Retired science teacher Ms. Connie Hubbard attended the US Stockholm Water Contest this summer in Orlando, Florida. Recent graduate Jyo Sinha was chosen to present his work, which was a nanofiber water filter that he designed and tested. His work was chosen two years in a row.
